THE BEST PANINIS IN MADISON! Toast was founded in the Fall of 2013 by an entrepreneurial couple, Gili and Molly. The name Toast was originally inspired by Gili's native language of Hebrew. Toast translates to panini and it is a very popular restaurant concept in Israel, focusing on special sauces to enhance the flavor of the paninis. We took the opportunity to open a cart with a cultural meaning, delicious food and unique flavors–bringing more diversity to Madison's food carts. We have had an award winning streak taking home multiple 1st place ribbons at the Taste of Madison each year from 2014 to 2018.
